Cricket: Yorkshire Beats Nottinghamshire

Yorkshire secured their second successive 200 plus total after chasing 208 to beat Durham on Friday.

Yorkshire claim a win against 2020 T20 Blast Champions, Nottinghamshire, after they failed to chase 203 at Headingley.

Both sides came into this with two wins, two defeats and five points, separated in fifth and sixth by Yorkshire’s better net run-rate.

Yorkshire County Cricket Club posted to their twitter account writing “YORKSHIRE WIN!! Notts 179-7, 23-run win for the Vikings. Three wins in six games now. Tattersall 48 not out, Drakes 3-31 the stars #OneRose”

The visitors had one the last six completed fixtures against Yorkshire since their last win here in 2017. This ending their winning streak.

During the final stretch, Nottinghamshire shared 114 inside 11 overs, and with four overs left, 58 were needed at this point to come back.

Unfortunately for them, Jordan Thompson had Mullaney caught at deep cover and Drakes bowled Christian for 56 as the score dropped to 166 for seven in the 19th, leaving Revis to defend 35 off the last.
